Founded in 2016 in Copenhagen by Malene Madsen (CEO) and Mikkel Bindesbøl (Co-founder and product specialist), Woba was built on Madsen's master's research in wellbeing and work environment at Roskilde University. Both founders have backgrounds in psychology and specialise in work-related stress prevention.
The platform now serves 800+ customers across 30+ countries, covering 250,000+ employees with 65% of usage outside Denmark – and reports average customer outcomes of +22% wellbeing improvement, –33% sick leave, and a 500% ROI.
Headquartered in Copenhagen/Frederiksberg with around 30 employees, Woba recently closed a 22M DKK venture round led by EIFO with PreSeed Ventures, DanBAN, and other investors.
