Founded in 2020 in Aarhus, Denmark, by Kasper Enggaard Krog (CEO), Kåre B. Sørensen (CPO), and Anders Kaels Malmos (CTO) — with Sørensen and Malmos having previously worked together at payments firm Clearhaus, and Krog being a former co-founder of Lix.
The product began as a tap-to-phone alternative to expensive card terminals targeting small merchants, and has expanded to a full omnichannel payments stack that integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Prestashop, and 100+ other systems.
Vibrant operates in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Germany, and Italy, holds a Visa partnership, and is backed by byFounders, Luminar Ventures, and others. Headquarters are at P.O. Pedersens Vej 2 in Aarhus.
