Founded in 2014 in Malmö, Sweden, by Nils Mattisson (CEO), Marcus Ljungblad, Martin Lööf, and Fredrik Ahlberg. Mattisson previously worked in the Exploratory Design Group at Apple in California before returning to Sweden to start the company, originally crowdfunding the first product (called Point) on Kickstarter.
The Minut sensor performs sound analysis on the edge using machine learning, meaning audio is never streamed to the cloud, and recent generations of the device feature outdoor monitoring with proprietary AudioID technology to filter wind noise.
