Stockholm
Founded in 2020 in Stockholm by Henrik Jakobson (CEO), Peter Weibull, and Kristofer Ericson. The trio also runs the Swedish staffing and recruitment firm Bravura, and started Hailey after failing to find an HR system that met their own needs, a classic "scratch your own itch" origin.
The platform now serves 900+ companies across Europe, with a particular focus on private-sector white-collar businesses of 100–2,000 employees. Hailey integrates with payroll providers, collaboration tools, SSO/identity systems, and recruiting platforms, and uses crypto-shredding for encryption and deletion of sensitive employee data.
Headquartered on Hornsbruksgatan 28 in Stockholm with around 51–200 employees, Hailey has raised roughly $14M including a Series A, with investors including Karl-Johan Persson, Stefan Krook, Foundation Asset Management, 82an Invest and Gilion. The company was ranked one of Sweden's best workplaces by Great Place to Work in 2025.
“We were self funded and with angels up to the first €4 million. After that it’s been 50/50 with Gilion. And I’ve hardly spent any time on funding since. Half of that credit goes to Gilion, because they’ve made it so effortless. Instead we can focus on doing what we should.”
