Madalina Danila
Investment Manager, Germany

Madalina brings over 6 years of experience working with technology companies, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges in running a business. Before joining Gilion, she was at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) Germany, working closely with high-growth startups and driving over €100M in venture debt transactions from Seed to Series E stages. Prior to that, she spent two years at Apeiron, a London-based credit fund.
She believes that one of the biggest challenges founders face is balancing immediate funding needs with long-term ownership and control. Too often, early equity raises lead to unnecessary dilution and rigid investor dynamics. Ultimately, she sees the core issue as a lack of access to the right capital mix and guidance, and she’s passionate about helping founders build smarter, more sustainable funding strategies.
Entrepreneurs experience Madalina as professional, friendly, and someone they can rely on. Always quick to respond, clear in her communication and a driver for getting things done efficiently.

“There’s a lot of unknowns and confusion in the market. What everyone wants is a reliable partner, someone who’s there with them when things get rocky.”
